Donating Stock Thank you for considering a gift of stock to Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral. Giving appreciated securities instead of cash can cost you less. By donating securities you have held long term, you may be able to take a tax deduction for their full market value and avoid the capital gains tax. Consult your tax advisor. |

| Here are some
guidelines to assist you in making a charitable contribution to Saint Mark’s by
transferring stock into our brokerage account: 1. Send a brief letter of instruction to
your broker. · List the name of the
stock and the number of shares to be given. · Indicate the purpose
of your donation (for example, “For my pledge to the Annual Campaign”). · Include the name,
account number, and DTC number of the brokerage firm used by Saint Mark’s Cathedral,

2. Then mail, fax, or e-mail to Saint Mark’s
a copy of your letter of instruction. It will serve as a donation letter for our records,
and it will prompt us to inform our brokerage firm of a pending donation. You should send
