Presiding Bishop Michael Curry to visit the Diocese of Olympia

June 14, 7 p.m., Cathedral Nave

Saint Mark’s is pleased to welcome The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, to the cathedral on Thursday, June 14 for a special service of Choral Evensong at 7 p.m.

After worship, Bishop Greg Rickel will host a Q&A session with Bishop Curry. A festive reception will follow in the Cathedral Nave.

Both the worship service and the Q&A will be live streamed here.

While in the Pacific Northwest, Bishop Curry will visit the Diocese of Olympia’s Refugee Resettlement Office, the College for Congregational Development, and Chaplains on the Harbor, and will speak at public events across the diocese. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to hear from our Presiding Bishop and learn more about what the “Jesus Movement” means to the Episcopal Church in Western Washington!

Planning to attend? Please note, we are expecting high attendance for this worship service. We encourage you to arrive early, carpool where possible, or take public transportation (the 49 bus stops right in front of Saint Mark's at the Galer Street stop.)
Parking on Saint Mark's campus is free, but limited. This not a ticketed event; Saint Mark's cannot offer reserved seating.

Directions and general questions: Please call the cathedral office, 206-323-0300.

News media who plan to attend are asked to contact Josh Hornbeck, Communications Director at the Diocese of Olympia.
