Dancing through the Decades & Silent Auction
Friday, June 2, 7 p.m., Skinner Auditorium
The Seattle Service Corps program affords the opportunity for young adults to discern where
God is calling them in their vocation, and does so with the structure and support of an intentional
community. Saint Mark’s participation in this program is part of a nationwide organization, Episcopal Service Corps.
After a great first year at Saint Mark’s, the Service Corps program needs your support so that we can offer the same opportunity to a new class of corps members. On June 2, the Corps will host Dancing Through the Decades, with a silent auction in Skinner Hall at 7:00 p.m. It will be a fun and festive evening of celebration as we wrap up the inaugural year of the program. Join us for a night of music, dancing, refreshments and a silent auction. Dust off your poodle skirt, shine your best dance shoes, warm up your Mashed Potato, Twist and disco finger!
The funds raised will support the Seattle Service Corps ministry. While the site fee from our partner organizations covers a portion of hosting and housing the corps members, our fundraising efforts will support basic needs such as groceries, utilities, and transportation costs to and from their work sites, as well as community-building retreats and outreach.
If you have a potential auction item that you would be willing to generously donate, please let us know by filling out this form, and one of the SSC members will be in touch with you shortly. We’re looking for a wide array of donated auction items including, but not limited to: unique works of art, delicious baked goods, vouchers for services (i.e. a photo shoot, a fitness consultation, a house concert, a weekend getaway at a nearby vacation home, etc.), gift cards from local business, and undiscovered historical artifacts.
Thank you for your loving support as a cathedral community, and we’ll see you and your classy dance moves on June 2!
Seattle Service Corps internship program is a chance for young adults to explore their faith and discern their vocational call, while working for justice-driven causes and being a part of this faith community. A year spent here is a commitment to:
