THE
NEWCOMERS CLASS is a
thumbnail sketch of the history of St. Marks, a look at our programs, an
introduction to the Episcopal Church. If youve recently crossed the St.
Marks threshold for the first time or have tiptoed in from Compline and have some
very basic questions, this courseonly four weeks longwould be a great starting
place. CHRISTIAN
INITIATION, (Catechism) is for those
contemplating making a significant commitment to God. For most participants this
course culminates in the baptisms, receptions, confirmations, and re-affirmations at the
Easter Vigil when the community celebrates the journey of the group in the context of the
Resurrection. For many the class has been transformative in relationships with
self, God, others, and the world.
