Mission Statement of the St. Mark's Cathedral Foundation

St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral is an icon of faith in Western Washington. Long known as the "Holy Box," Saint Mark's is home to an active parish and several related non-profit organizations, and has served as the "cathedra" or seat of the bishop for the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia since 1926. Saint Mark's provides sacred common ground, two performance venues, and a non-sectarian gathering place for the broader community.

To ensure a safe, environmentally responsible, and inspirational setting for these good works, the St. Mark's Cathedral Foundation raises and manages capital and endowment funds. We honor the past and embrace the future by seeking to preserve and enhance this revered cathedral's buildings and grounds.
