School Year Program Description
Our program emphasizes the integrated or thematic
approach to learning by using art, science, language and creative movement together to
explore a particular topic or theme. Often curriculum is steered by the needs and
interests of the children. Highlights of our varied and exciting program are:
A hands-on, experiential approach to learning
 Making use of the
Cathedral, its ground and the surrounding neighborhood.
Employing a whole language approach to language arts.
 Use a variety of methods
to teach children to solve math problems.
Develop fine motor skills.
 Science is taught with a
special emphasis on nature study and ecology.
Children study different families, communities  and cultures.
The spiritual nature of children is recognized and
celebrated.
 Children participate in
service projects such as toy and food drives.
We have an active parent community  which greatly enriches
our educational programs.
