Standing Committees of the Vestry
The Vestry, in accordance with the Bylaws is authorized to designate committees–which may have non-Vestry members–to assist in fulfilling its obligations and responsibilities.

Building and Hospitality Committee
This committee recommends measures to preserve and enhance the buildings, grounds and heritage of Saint Mark's.
Components: Complete deferred maintenance; facility improvement, vision, and budget; Green Cathedral Task Force
Strategic Target: Create a more welcoming, enduring, and environmentally sound facility.

Faith Formation and Congregational Life Committee
Components: Christian formation, music and liturgy, congregational growth and development, Holy Orders and discernment, human resources/personnel
Strategic Target: Deepen our spiritual and community life.

Church in the World Committee
This committee provides Vestry representation on the Church in the World Coordinating Committee.
Strategic Target: Focus ministries of service and outreach.

Diocesan Relations Committee
Working to build bridges with congregations and ministries throughout the Diocese of Olympia.
Strategic Target: Deepen the connections between the Cathedral and the congregations and ministries of the Diocese.

Governance Committee
This committee oversees compliance of Vestry with Saint Mark's Bylaws, the Cathedral's Constitution, National and Diocesan Canons, and Articles of Incorporation; provides guidance regarding governance.

Finance Committee
This committee monitors the financial health of Saint Mark's to ensure that appropriate financial controls and financial and risk management policies are in place; works with staff to prepare annual budgets; manages annual audits; establishes an investment policy for both short- and long-term funds; and monitors investments.
